I was assigned to the second floor and had a superb view to the main stage. However, what was going on there in the great majority was out of my interests:  a host looking promiscuous very poorly skilled to do her job who appeared on the main stage about one hour after the show started (so bad!), some very aggressive singers and bands of black people who forced the audience to repeat with them the refrain of a song which was two words being curses, fashion designer clothing for XXL ladies and a few other things. So poor, so low, Miami. All that didn't affect me much though as I was quite busy with my own audience that seemed to appreciate my work. I got also an interesting offer of collaboration from a serious person from Miami local art scene.

I've got a 6'X6" gridwall space to showcase my work. I worked hard on this show before I came to Miami. OMG! I really worked hard on this one. Even the last night before the flight I slept only three hours; I didn't expect that packing my prints and taking care of little details could take me so much time. Anyway, everything was perfectly ready to hang. The call time for installment was 1 pm. The setup took me just about 40 minutes. I wanted to do it quickly, and go enjoy my time on the beach before the evening show starting at 7 PM. I thought I had plenty of time to sunbathe, coming back to my hotel room and get ready for the evening show when I found out from the show director that I had to be back there at 5:30 PM! I had just one thought: NO WAY! I devoted so much of my life to this show (only the correspondence took me almost half a year before I was accepted which wasn't obvious until the very last moment--I had my flight booked and still, wasn't sure if I am in the show or not) that I cannot simply anymore.

It was quite challenging to present my work to Miami audience. Most of ethnicities I saw at the show were new to me. I didn't think about this factor while selecting what to showcase that night. That world was a completely different world...

I am pleased to announce that my self-portrait "I Want To Feed You With Myself" has been curated into a juried photography exhibition "Black&White", and will be exhibited at Blank Wall Gallery in Athens, Greece from October 29th thru November 11th, 2016.
About the exhibition:
Things in life cannot be Black or White!” Is this always true? Photography has made it clear that things CAN be Black and white. There are occasions when black and white proves to be the best choice. Lack of color can sometimes be the best choice, as everything can be viewed under a new light and reconsidered. The lack of color frequently provides a way out to the viewers’ imagination, as they are free to “see” whatever they wish in the photograph hanging opposite them.

The Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, October 29th, 2016.

Florida holidays 2016│ October 18th, Miami South Beach, FL (post VII)

Seagulls are my beloved subject to photograph while at the seaside. When I have fruits with me, they would come and feed themselves without asking, but this time I was empty-handed. Still, they approached me so close, and were waiting there as though wanted me to join them. I wasn't fully ready spreading my wings when suddenly I heard "click!".

Florida holidays 2016│ October 18th, Miami South Beach, FL (post V)

In the evening just before the sunset wind became stronger. I put on this loose dress and let the wind sing through its fabric. Suddenly, I felt like dancing on the white sand, and playing with different poses for fun. It felt so free even if there were still some other people around me. Their presence didn't disturb me at all though. Perhaps I created that day my most fascinating "motion" images there at the Miami South Beach.

I do not understand well why my heart melts whenever it sees all treasures of nature. It wanted to embrace everything the Ocean left on the beach... Silly, silly heart!

When I saw this beauty lying down on the street, I couldn't just pass by quietly.

Florida holidays 2016│ October 18th, a walk in Miami Beach, FL

It was an adventurous walk in Miami Beach from where we parked the car until we reached the South Beach. It really felt like being on holidays.

Florida holidays 2016│ October 21st, Hollywood Beach, FL

Florida holidays 2016│ October 19th, at the Greek restaurant "Mykonos"

It was the most delicious Greek salad I've ever had for two reasons: I was dying from starvation after visiting the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in the morning, and I was missing raw vegetables in one separate meal so much. Also the decor on the patio was so pleasant that made me feel as though I was in Greece, not in the U.S.

prints, prints, my prints│Limited Editions in SQUARE FORMAT

Some of my works are available as Limited Edition prints.
Limited Edition print means that there will ever be only a certain number of prints produced, and once they are sold, there won’t be any more available.
As I print my works at different sizes, I limit the number of prints to a certain number at each size. For my Limited Editions there are 50 prints of the small size, 25 prints of the medium size, and 15 prints of the large size. This makes a total of 90 prints in the full edition.
4”X4”: edition of 25
5”X5”: edition of 25
12”X12”: edition of 15
18”X18”: edition of 10
24”X24”: edition of 7
36”X36: edition of 5
54”X54”: edition of 3
My Limited Edition prints are exactly the same, although they are not all printed at the same time. Each print in an edition is printed on the same paper, with the same archival quality inks, by the same printer store which is in my case COUPRALUX- fine are printer and gallery in Dallas, Texas, U.S.A.
My Limited Edition prints are signed and numbered on the back of the print, and on the front of the mat. I also deliver a signed certificate of authenticity which is produced on one of the kind handmade paper and mailed to you usually within two weeks after purchasing my print.
There are also a small number of Artist’s Proofs (usually 2 or 3 in my case) available once the edition has sold out. These are not included in the number of prints in the edition.
Artist’s Proofs are special proofs that traditionally were test prints but the term has now come to mean prints that are identical in quality and media to the Limited Editions, but are sometimes perceived to have a higher value because they are the artist’s own copies.
Each artist handle pricing differently, but it is usual for the price of Limited Edition print to increase as the edition comes closer to being sold out. The Artist’s Proofs are usually the last to be sold and they are sold at the highest price.
Some of my Limited Edition prints can be donated for Silent Auctions to help support a great cause, or as a present to individuals who have a special meaning to me.
